I'm looking to sell this shotgun soon and am wondering what it's worth. It's a Spanish side by side 12 gauge. It has the markings "Marixa I.M.A EIBAR GUIPUZCOA" and "Made in Spain".

The underside of the barrels has the marking "FAN 18.2" and maybe a stamp of crossed rifles? Then theres some numbers under the barrel Choke 17.5 and 18.5
and a UC in a diamond.

Here's the photos:

I'm looking for both value and info. Thanks for your time.

Check out the spanish guns section on Shotgun World (site) alot of low end guns were made in Spain. They were not all bad though. In a world where I see Cooey single shot shotguns selling for 150 to 160 (and fast) you got to believe that your double is worth more than the quoted price. Go to Shotgun World "I love my" section and scroll to "spanish guns" it is likely your gun was imported by a US distributor and had the gunmaker stamp it with the name "marixa'. Heck the after market installed pad would have set someone back 100.00 Keep us posted with your search results.

regards, Darryl

Around $250.00, if you were reeeeal lucky you might find someone to give you $300.00 but it could take awhile. The bluing appears to be showing speckling of rust throughout with areas of bluing missing plus the one pic makes it look like there is a chip out of the front of the forearm on the side. Maybe it is just the pic making it look like that. What are the bores like?
