Whats It Worth? Mk II Ruger M77 in .204?

I could be wrong, but I'd say it's more like an 900 dollar rifle, (not everyone paid a thou) and now missing the rings it's even a lesser dollar rifle. Of coarse the bi-pods add some value. A gun dealer buddy took one in at the last gun show (in 22-250) for $550. and is now asking $750. and of coarse there is the typical play in the asking price, so it's likely to sell for $625-$650 or thereabouts. And that's with the original Ruger rings. So, Mount Sweetness is fairly well bang on the money, maybe a tad low. I hope it doesn't hurt your feelings, but you did ask the question and wanted an answer.

It's a barrel burner varmint caliber that most would prefer to own new...value degrades quicker than if it were a big game hunting caliber which tends to have less rounds though it. JMO. If you really want to know what it's worth, take it to any gun store...and add 100 bucks to what they offer you.

Used Ruger M77's do not sell at $700, they do sell at $600. I had bought a walnut Hawkeye in .204 brand new for $700 shipped - rough action and would not feed reliably, returned it for store credit.

Buddy of mine bought one new in blued/walnut and it was the most accurate out of the box gun i'd seen, with superformance no less. Sold it to a fellow that wanted a .204 and he made a profit on it.
