Hey guys, I've been out of the gun buying and selling addiction for a couple years now, been renovating my first home, it seems to be more of a money pit than guns!

I am looking to thin the herd a little bit and don't know what things are worth since I have been browsing the EE on a daily basis like I used to.

So I've got a Keltec RFB DS. It's the tan version that was brought in and threaded with a muzzle break by dlask. I've got some more house expenses and the savings are all dried up so what would one ask for an RFB DS? http:// w w.vaultdistribution.net/products/kel-tec-firearms/114-rfb

It's not new in box, has more than 500 but less than 1000 rounds through it, excellent condition, reliable, no issues.

I would like to put it up on the EE but don't know where to start.

Are there still only 28 in Canada? Or were more brought in?

Insight is appreciated. I've also got a t97 that I would like to put up, what are they going for used?

RFB's have been hovering around $1900-$2400.
T97's $800-$950.

A tan RFB with a Spectre DR (optic is $2600+tax new) just went for 3k ish.

There more non restricted 308 options on the market since the RFB was released, the famae for one, modern hunter for two. Why spend 3k on a RFB when you can get a base MH for 3500

Lol.... Bullpup's aren't quite priced the same as long rifles... Why buy a Tavor when you can get a VZ for $1600-$1800 less?

The tan RFB's are a bit of an oddity.... Depending on extra mags or accessories I'd say list it at $2600 and see who bites... A used gun is a used gun, the RFB's aren't what I'd call rare these days but the tan ones are hard to come by.

Lol....Last time I checked the famae and the rfb are at the similar price points, along with a sprinfield M1A loaded, XCR-M, all of which are non restricted 308's. The VZ and tavor comparison makes no sense in regards to my post, as for 500 more then a rfb you can get a modern hunter which is a semi auto long gun..... Not 1600-1800 less

....oh your compairing a NR long rifle to a NR bullpup... See I was doing the same thing... Very diffrent rifles.

Yes a was comparing semi auto 308 non restricted rifles in the same price point. RFB, M1A, XCR-M, SG542, and MH a little bit higher, all very different rifles with similar price points. You can do the same with the tavor, XCR-L, SG540 all different 5.56 rifles and similar price points. So you did not do the same thing.

OP: there's a tan RFB on the EE right now for 2550, see how fast it sells and use that to gauge whether you want a fast sale or slow but eventual sale. The DS version would be premium over the regular black version.

Or hurry and list yours for 2450...

Wait till after the next election, I have a feeling that rifle you want will be reclassified if anyone else gets into power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of the 'new deal' regulations geared towards firearms not being able to be reclassified after the first year of their FRT.# becoming approved?

If I'm wrong please correct me CR5, but I would think by now or then ("next election") that rifle and many others will be a little more difficult to re-classify (of course I never say never) or have I got it all wrong?

My apologies to the OP for getting off topic.

Cheers D

Did that actually go through yet? I hope they've been put on a shorter leash but I haven't heard anything official saying anything is any different than it was before.

OP, your rifle is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If you think it's worth $2600 and you can find someone willing to pay that then great. I would advertise it for whatever you'd like to get and if it doesn't sell in a couple weeks lower the price by $100 and repeat till it sells. If you wait long enough at the high price someone will eventually come along who thinks they must have it and they'll buy it but if you want to sell it quick you better be willing to sell it for a loss. I know that everyone wants to make money on every rifle they sell on the EE but the reality is that everyone buying one wants to get a deal so they can make money on it when they sell it.
When I first got my RFB it was going to be one of the rifles I never sold, eventually the novelty wore off and I realized I wasn't shooting it much anymore so I put it up on the EE with all kinds of extras, it sat on there for over a month and I eventually sold it at a loss which worked out to basically what I paid for the rifle but the cheek rest, quadrail, and 4 extra mags were given away for free.

Being a tan model should help it sell but I doubt that will pull any more money for it. Personally I'd rather just order a new one than pay new price for a used one since Kel-Tec only gives warranty to the original owner.
