i have a WW1 Longbranch lee enfield that i restored from a sporter! it has had the clip guide cut off and has a mess of holes on the side of the receiver from someone trying to mount a scope, it only has a 4 digit serial number and is dated 1918. Thanks CGN!

pretty sure long branch didn't exist in WW1. It was built in 1940

Couldnt be a long branch being the company only started in 1940 to help support the war. 22 years after this gun was built.

Back in the 60's you could mail order an Enfield for about 15 bucks - 20 if you wanted a "scoped" model.

So it's probably worth at least 15 bucks

Sell it as a shootable parts rifle for around $250 shipped if the stock is in very good condition at least. Less if the condition is lower.

Still havn't figured out why you said you had a longbranch in your op. After all, you restored it and must have seen any markings.

If I understand this correctly, the OP got a buggered up No1Mk3* with the charger bridge removed, and holes in the receiver. Even with a nice sporter stock, with magazine, I wouldn't think it'd be much more than a $150 rifle... Unless the stock came from a commercial sporter like a Parker Hale or something similar...

It's currently in its full military configuration stockwise, I sold it today for a cool 200 bucks! It was way below my milsurp collecting criteria, and plus it frees up one space in my milsurp safes

you could put that money toward a collectable one. $400 to $500 will find you one in a matter of days if you are trying.

my collection is ww2 issue rifles, i already have a long branch No4 MkI in very good condition so i am looking for some German rifles now k98k is what i am looking for! out of all my rifles i only have one "axis" rifle and its the m95 manlicher
