whats it worth

yes i know and everyone hates these but need a ballpark price. got some taxes to pay.
refurbed No1 MkIII* original butt, new front wood. drilled and tapped for T 10 scope mount.
no mag

Why do you say that? I actually enjoy these as they usually quite informative.

I think the only ones that frown on these are the jealous and envious pissants.

BTW i would go with Ganderite's assessment.

drilled and tapped for an after market scope equals low dollar value. The rifle is worth the sum of its parts. The magazine would be the most valuable part and it's missing.

Sooooooo IMHO under $100, unless the front wood is all present as well as the metal. Still, no more than $200

its a 1942. the fore end wood is a Numrich arms item with the cut out for volley sights and mag cutoff. yeah, i know, wrong fore end for the year. cost more to send it back and pay shipping for the right one. the rear hand guard also from there. the front is one of my own reproductions, more than 40 of you CGNers own one of those...lol
thinking about plugging those three little holes that devalue these so much.
maybe I`ll just leave it in the safe, i love shooting it.
There is a mag, but i switch that with my No5.

if its only 200$ maybe i'll stick to making upper front hand guards

At current prices the wood is worth north of $200.

Hate to say it but that's probably a $400 rifle on here. I'd personally put an old scope on it and keep it.

$400 doesnt go very far these days.
