This fell into my lap. Thought about restoring it but its still gonna have the hole in the reciever. So no go. It is a bubba'd Springfield 1903/A3. Has a timiney trigger in it and a Weaver V8 scope. Bore is VG as well as the rest of the metal. Shoot really well actually. Anyone give me some insight?

Very old custom Springfield. I see the Weaver is non adjustable. Looks like a Fajen stock. Would be a challenge to bring it back to a military as the barrels been cut back as well the bolt safety and handle modified. You could always sell or trade it off for some other model full military.

A classic bubba, priceless:)

Yea sorta makes me sick having it in the house. Guess it can keep the sporter M10 company for now. Whatadaya think I should flog it for?

The mount is what is adjusted. Think 60 year old elcan ;)

It is an external adjustment scope like the ancient Baush&Lomb. The adjustments are on the mount. Usually these work very well.
It is a classic example of a post war sporter. If it shoots well, I would keep it if I were you.
PP.

Quite a nice, handy 30-06 and not bad looking. Don't give it away for anything like $150.

Its not that bad looking, if it shoots OK I would keep it, ya never know, you might take a liking to it and it could become you new favorite deer rifle if you hunt.
