Hi Guys. Just wondering, I have a winchester model 92 (25.20) w.c.f. saddle gun with the ring still attached. I have been told its a rare caliber in the saddle gun series and it might be worth somthing to a collector. Does anyone have any idea what it might be worth? or have any info about the model? Thanks.

The woods in great condition, but the steel is a little tarnished. Would it raise or lower the price if I had it re-blued ? What do you think?
Rebluing will totally destroy collector value unless it's a complete junk gun.
Value is completely dependent of condition & with-out at least pics it's very hard to put a value on it. Sounds like it has no blueing from your description, so value should range from $350. - $550max. The 25-20 is second to the 44-40 in 92s in caliber numbers, with the 32-20 next & the 38-40 the rarest.
