Can't seem to find anything cheap anymore. A few years ago I bought a couple of AIM 2-7 ones for $50 or so on Amazon but now they're listed over $200! Nice scope for $50 but a rip off at $200+. I found the Vortex Crossfire at cabelas I'd go with if I'm in that price range but would like to go cheap if I can.

Anyone know where to get scout long eye relief scope?

I’d agree, not many cheap ones available. I have the vortex, have fired a lot of rounds and have never had an issue, that’s worth something to me. I would say the quality and price point of the optic will be a reflection of the rifles intended use. Is this just a plinker? Or something that might be used for hunting? What cartridge is the rifle chambered in?

If it’s just a 223 that’s used for shooting up garbage, I’d cheap out. If it’s a 308 and might be used for hunting, the vortex is the bottom of what I would consider. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

Also, I have the weaver 4x, it’s okay too, but also more expensive. The reticle is a bit thin for fast use when compared to the vortex.

It’s for a project Mosin that’s already bubba’d. I have no complaints with this project seen below that I did a number of years ago. Completely reversible!

I competed with this rifle at an ORA vintage rifle shoot using Milsurp ammo and won a prize for the 300M course! I just want to set up this new project that came with a 19” cut barrel into an old Monte Carlo stock I had around and scope it in the same way.

I got some cheap one at Durham..... Bushnell Scout for 149$ -30% cash back offer in April

Bought them for two rifles that are now prohibited

Now, I need two rifles for the scopes hahaha

That mount I used was on Amazon for $20 as an air soft mount and the aim scope was $50. I was rockin 1-1/2” groups @ 100M with Milsurp ammo for $70 all in. I’ve put about 500 rounds through that rifle and scope combo even making many adjustments when competing with it, it’s been solid.

I have some really nice guns and can appreciate a nice piece of glass on a nice rifle but for a Mosin, cheap is better as long as it works. IMO.

I agree , $$$
The new Leopold freedom 2 by 7 was very nice , clear , generous eyebox , great field of view... at 6 Bill's.. I giggled.

Bought a weaver instead .. fix 4 power is plenty I figured

It is for me. I have a Weaver K4 Scout, I like the simplicity of fixed power and I like to shoot with both eyes open which starts to get harder for me with more than 4x.

However, that Bushnell Trophy at $149.00 looks like very good value if the optical quality is as good as another Trophy model I have had for over ten years (made in not Japan but also not China. Probably Korea, maybe Phillipines.)

I went with a Leupold 2.5X IER. It's a nice, bright, fast scope.
