I'm not an avid collector by any means (pistols are still pretty new to me) but I do enjoy having a variety of fire arms to tinker with at the range. At this point I have a buckmark contour URX 7.25 and I'll be purchasing a CZ shadowline in the very near future. What pistol should I add to the cabinet next?

Sounds like you need a wheelgun. Maybe a 586 or such. 2 calibers for the price of one as well.

I agree that a 45 1911 or 357 would be good additions. Depends whether you want another auto or try a revolver.

I was going to be a smart-arse and quote the old radio show, "Only the (CZ) Shadow knows..." but you kind of beat me to it. But as others have suggested, a nice S&W revolver would really round out your collection. Maybe a Model 14 .38 Spl. or 586 (.357 Mag.) You'll develop great trigger control and won't be chasing brass. :)

As others have said, a 1911 in .45 or a .357 like a 686 or GP100 would expand the selection nicely. I'd also think about a polymer-framed pistol like a Glock, M&P, H&K or SIG.

.44 Automag.
Kidding!
I agree with the .38/.357 revolver choice. Another vote for a 4.2 or 6" 5/686.
If you can find it, start with 148gr HBWC .38 Spl rounds. They make very nice, clean holes and have zero recoil. Get your wife to try this, she'll be hooked!
Use 158gr JSP .357 loads when you hang with the boys. If you can find 125gr JHPs, they make very impressive fireballs!

In the winter I shoot revolvers more. I just shot 125 rounds yesterday and had to fish all 125 .45ACP brass out of the snow. Cold hands etc. A good revolver is a wonderful thing. I like SAA, single action army clones. I would say, especially in revolver world, don't go cheap. The weight of the gun helps recoil as well. The top round for a revolver would be the .38Special/.357 Mag IMHO. The .45Colt is very popular as well and of course the .22LR.

I have a beretta 92g (9mm) and a gsg 1911 (22lr) for now. Since your setup is almost the same as mine (full metal 9mm pistol and a nice little 22)

Here's is my future "shopping list" :

-A sweet little polymer gun in 9mm, for bigger caliber i prefer metal gun to manage the recoil. (Im not a glock guy so i would go for a S&W Mp9 or Walther PPQ)
-A kickass and so-funny-to-shoot .38/.357 mag Revolver (If you can get your hands on a colt python... Or a nice little S&W 686 - 6" barrel)
-One day i'll get a nice Kimber or Colt 1911 in .45 (or a H&k Socom MK23 there is one to sell in my LGS for +\-2200$
-I love these Sig P226/229 ... And also these H&k usp...
-You already have that CZ75 shadow so thats a really nice start :)
-My next purchase will be a tokarev Tt-33 in 7.62x25... Cheap and more funny to shoot than these 22lr... Ammo are really cheap too.

The thing is... You always want another one... You look at these pictures threads and then... You say: Oh my god i need one like this!!!
Damn you CGN!!!!! Hahahaha

I will repeat myself..., look at the beautiful Uberti "Man with no name" .38 conversion with the snake, very nice SA revolver , fun to shoot, with a high quality assemblage, it also have engraving Spanish gallions on it.
