What's on top of your muzzleloader?

An Aim 2.5 x 7 which I havn't used yet. I had it sitting here so I mounted it on my black powder gun. Im not going to get too excited about it but if it zeroes at 100 yards I'll be ok with it for now.

Hi Nomad -
I have a Burris Fullfield II 3-9 by 40 with ballistic plex reticle on my T/C 50cal inline. Honesty the main reason I have it is when I purchased my smoke pole and needed a scope a Canadian Tire here in Calgary had them on at a great price. It is plenty of scope and works great. I took a white buck at 175yards the last time we hunted at Camp Wainwright. Just hit him in the bottom of the chest and lunged him but if that sabot was another 2 inches lower it would of missed him! We were drawn for there again this year so with some luck I can tip another one over with the T/C !

Previously I used an old Weaver K2.5x on my Traditions Tracker 209 but after last season I moved that to something else and installed a Bushnell Banner 4x40 Lite Site. This is an old made-in-Japan by Bausch&Lomb with a duplex reticle and an illuminated red dot on the cross hair. I don't expect to take shots longer than 100m with this rifle so I like the simplicity of a fixed power and the 2.5x was enough. I just switched because the Bushnell came into my hands and it's too good not to use and it fits this muzzleloader better than it fits anything else I have.

Thanks guys.I found a good price on the nikon inline xr with bdc reticle and 5" eye relief. Never used that particular reticle but the 5" eye relief is certainly appealing.Anyone familiar with this scope?

Great little scope designed specifically for inline, note you can customize the reticle with our Spot On app on our website. (Google it). Muzzle load is at the very bottom of the cartridge listings.

Any feedback on how they hold up to recoil?

All of our scopes are rated to 1000g's, meaning you can beat the snot out of them. The reticle is etched so it won't fall over or disintegrate on you. Our design team is on Long Island and they do their best to try and beat our stuff up beyond any reasonable hunting situation. Lol.

Leupold VX2 1-4 x20 (duplex)... Enough eye relief and lower power for the close in shots I'm most likely to take with a muzzle loader underneath... (125 yards max is my comfort zone).... schaf
