What's that on my hammer???

Holy smokes she sure is a beautiful piece though. Hope they fix you up with a new hammer. Let us know what happens, I'm a huge Smith fan and curious to see what happens.
 
Ihave the identical gun so I had to look...it has same mark.I wouldn't have ever seen it had you not pointed it out.I,m not too worried about it.But if you get a new hammer let me know!!
 
I'm not willing to give the pistol up for the warranty process over this. I will continue to shoot it until it breaks. At that point I'll buy a quality hammer and delete the ambi safety.

If my Ford or Chevy needs a fix I don't send them back to Detroit... Not sure why the gun industry is like this. Shipping the gun back n' forth will cost more than just replacing the damn hammer!
