Swap Barrel set, with a long iron, short iron, wedge, driver and putter... Just screw in a different barrel and you are good for everything from "birdies" to bull moose!

Instead of buying 1, buy the Norinco (Chinese) Version and get one of each. You might not be great but at least you'll be using the right sticks!

What a silly question! We all know that one requires several different clubs for the proper application:

7 iron no question. It's the most versatile club in the average players bag.
Inside 50 yards I lock my wrists and and chip. 50-120 I half swing. Off the tees I can shoot 1/2 moa at 600.... sorry, wrong story.

If you take a 'beginner' lesson, the instructor will ask you to use a 7, *most times*. It's to teach how to hit down on the ball. The tendency is to sweep the ball, it's kinda like shooting gangster style.

If you can hit a 9 better than a 7, it's in your head. I guarantee it.
