I think selecting ammo by brand instead of type is just wrong. For me and my 10/22's. I can use the same brand ammo one 38gr hollow point and it runs like ####. On the other hand same brand ammo in 40gr full round nose no concerns at all.
Shoot all the brands of bulk you can find, the one it likes best is the one you buy. 22's are picky, they like what they like. Only have one that isn't. Later, and shoot lots.
Standard procedure for any .22 rifle should be to buy a small box of every kind of .22 that you can find, and spend a day at the range testing them out.
When it comes to the bulk ammo this method works great, but if you want to buy ammo that is almost guaranteed to shoot well from any .22 pick up some Eley; great stuff! Though for the price it had better be.
