what's the best NR rifle for 3 gun?

.5 of a second is five rounds more I shot while you where loading.I have won and lost matches .only .3 diff in score

You can shoot semi auto at 600 rounds a minute? Impressive.

As mentioned before, 3-gun already requires you to have a restricted license (unless antique revolvers are your thing) so you may as well open yourself to a restricted rifle as well. While I understand the desire to have an NR rifle that you can take out to shoot Yotes or Gophers, said gun may not be the best choice for competition use. Only the severely misguided use competition equipment for uses outside of competition (or training, ranges, etc). You wouldn't haul your 20lb target gun out deer stalking the same way you wouldn't pack a Olympic Rapid Fire pistol for self defense. Get a gun that specializes and meets your requirements for speed, accuracy and score, and if you don't like it, flip it and try another.

Two crappy shooters with the best gear still doesn't add up to a win so its a moot point.

this is very true. would you agree that a Rifle like a AR/ACR/XCR is more user friendly and much easier to shoot out to 300 meters( some 3 gun matches have that range)over a CZ/VZ?

To the OP, what rifle do you currently own? this will be more helpfull in choosing a NR for 3 gun as to know what you are familiar with so you don't have to learn everything over.

I ordered a Tavor. Perhaps I did it too hurriedly given all the "Tavor has crap accuracy" on the forums. I want it NR because then I can go practice in the forest. I can set up my own targets for fun. I know I am never going to win any competitions, so I'm doing it just for fun, but at the same time I don't want to be completely frustrated by shooting way off target and not hitting anything (if the inaccuracy of the Tavor is to be believed).

ok then , I know little of that gun but I would pic a 1/4 or 1/6 optic try a good 0 like the 50/200 or the 35/300 and treat it like a carbine/battle rifle dont get bummed out if your hit high or low just be happy with hits! And shoot lots!!! Also practice your Mag changes often over and over again!

I tell new guys all the time don't try to win the match, but to always be better then the last time they shot and have fun

Mechanical advantages are only an advantage if the operator knows how to employ them. The manual of arms on an xcr/acr/ar is easier and cleaner than that of a vz/cz but its not a guarantee of any sorts. 300 isn't overly difficult with a vz if you know your rifle/setup. Optics are a bore to mount on a vz so there the other 3 mentioned have a significant advantage. The target size plays a big role. Smaller targets are easier with a more accurate rifle with optics than the contrary.

If you're gonna get a NR rifle for 3 gun, get one that takes AR mags. Most guys end up switching to ARs anyhow once they figure out how much they like it.

When it comes to a specific brand, I won't recommend one over the other, because I don't have enough experience with enough of them to know.
