I jumped right in on reloading at got a Dillon 650 xl. I think it was around 2200 for the press, case and bullet feeder, dies, scale, calipers, case gauge, books and tumbler. So far it's taken 500 rounds to work out most of the kinks. It's a pretty big learning curve from never loading before.
What's the best reloading package deal?

Go with the Dillon 550b for the reasons stated above by others. I have yet to meet a Dillon user who regrets the purchase. If you decide to get out of shooting it will sell immediately and if you hold onto it long enough you might get all of your money back. I could sell the press I bought back in 2003 for what I paid for it.
