I am in the CF but new to the world of pistol competition.
I have always carried a pistol in a tactical environment (as a back-up) with a Safariland holster and a double handgun magazine pouche.

Now I need a tactical and/or range solution to carry at least 6 magazines on the shooting line.

Any idea of product??!?!

thanks for your time

Are you looking for something that you hang off your belt or something to organize and hold your magazines off-body? For the latter, I have seen some six-pocket set ups. Dillon had them in their Blue Press catalogue. My dad had a couple and they are nice.

Assuming you mean to carry on your person. Depends on the game you're into, FidelCastro. Some have restrictions on how spare magazines can be carried.

I primarily use el-cheapo plastic double mag pouches ($20-25 range) on my belt for IPSC and 3-Gun. I have a couple of homemade magnet pouches that are also useful for holding stage-starting and barney mags.

Double Taco pouches are nice, too.

Then I suggest you start out with the cheap double mag pouches. They're a minimal investment, and are sufficient for many people. You'd find out soon enough if you want something more, but they certainly won't be holding you back for your first couple of years of shooting.

For IPSC, I use two double pouches, one magnet, and a rear pocket for six mags. When it's time to load, I take the mag off of the magnet, load one in the chamber, and put that mag back on the magnet. Then insert the mag from my pocket into the pistol. Gives 11 rounds in the holstered gun, and 49 on the belt. For 3-Gun, I do basically the same, except I usually use only one double mag pouch (for a total of 11 + 29).
