Anyone know of a good small woodstove available in Canada?

I was looking at the Alaskan and them Barrel shaped ones on the US web sites they have water tanks ect and run from $300 us and up,
Wondered if theres anyone up here makeing a good Tent or small area Wood stove.

Im looking for a Wood Stove not a propanes one!
Propane Sucks its wetter than a **** here 7 months of the year :D

Propane makes your tent and everything in it damp!
So any advise on a WOOD stove would be great as wood heat is Dry heat! Thanks.

100 bucks, Campers Village. Little sheet metal stove, pipe extra. I heat a 14x16 Outfitter Tent with mine. Wholesale SPorts has them too. Get the two hole type.

Agreed. Although they dont hold the heat at all(because of being sheet metal) they work great.

The one in the pics folds up nicely as well. Used it down to about minus 30 and stayed toasty all night long.

I own a much bigger stove, but it weighs about 100 pounds and is a ##### to lug around. Will use it if the camp will be set up for a long period of time, other than that the small one goes out with us.

Nice setup crazy davey! Just like mine (my dog is smaller though). That is the only stove you need, heats up well and will last (almost) the night. I would get some nice coals going, put in some green birch or poplar and it would keep the place dry AND dry out your gear! Propane is great for a trailer or motorhome, but doesn't work to well in a outfitters tent. Just not the same!

We use the Hunter model stove from Home Hardware in our prospector tent. Works great, throws lots of heat. We put the pipe out the back wall, not the roof.

LOL no worries im just not a fan of Propane heat even in a Motorhome. ;)

Im looking at one now that looks like a round Barrel cut with a flat plate for a top.
But its alot more than $100.
Thanks for the info.
Nice pic of that tent with the Dog :)

I have always wanted to go hunting with the use of a large prospector tent as a shelter (like when we go on fishing excursions).... but my hunting partners have always convinced me that it would be difficult to dry off your clothes thoroughly, which would result in heading out the following morning with damp/humide clothes.

Are you guys saying my buddies are wrong?
Are you guys going out in milder weather?
Are there still traces of humidity in your clothes when you guys head out in the morning?
what if it's raining, do you guys recuperate nicely in a prospector style tent (with either a wood or propane stove) overnight?
do the interior walls/roof of tent get covered with humidity when heating?
