I see those pop up on EE quite often these days and go for less than others. IIRC they're from Can. ammo and were cheaper or combo'd into a deal. But as far as fit and finish how do they compare to the other Marstar ones.

I picked up one on a WTB ad from the EE. They can usually be had for ~ $300 +/- shipping. Overall, I am impressed with it.

Factory grips are crap, I intended to ditch them anyway. I put a set of USGI replacement grips for that 'retro look'.

Personally, what I like about these are: (1) No Norc or Made in China markings (2) Faithful to GI type 191A1 configuration (3) No 'extended' do-dads (4) No forward serrations on the slide (5) Low profile sites.

I picked one up off the EE for <$300 shipped and couldn't be happier.
A great 45 for the money. I don't know why everyone seems to be getting rid of them but that just means others can have one.
I swapped out the mainspring housing for a flat one but other than that I'm leaving it stock.

Finish is decent. Fit is good. Trigger pull is crisp on mine.
The best part of all is that at the price point I can really enjoy it without worrying about every possible scuff or scratch that may occur

The unmarked ones are from an old military contract. The guns are crude compared to the more recent commercial Norincos.

I have some of both types. I enjoy tinkering and tweaking, so the old ones are good project guns to play with.

Out of the box, the modern ones are much better guns and worth the extra bucks.

I bought one that was a castoff from the Canam deal. Cost me about 275 shipped if I recall. I'm not a huge Norinco fan, but I think it was a good deal: basically a clean slate frame/slide but I can go make noise with it in the meantime if I choose.

I don't like the sights, but the rest looks pretty good to me. If I recover from my recent purchases, I'll be snagging a few more to throw in the safe for rainy day projects.

1911's are like Lay's chips. Even Chinese ones.

mine is better then my other 2 Norcs that i picked up a couple years ago (2 colored police ones)
its just a nice plain 1911.
perfect for ripping apart and experimenting with.

i got mine on the deal and ive no complains other then the grips it came with, mine where cracked.
took them off the day it arrived and $20 worth of Hogue love and it perfect.

its nothing compared to my Kimber or Rugers but for the price ya cant go wrong.
ive not had any of the 'new' generation Norcs to compare it to.

Out of the box
