Whats the farthest north have we seen Turkeys?

I was just driving home from Sudbury today down the 69 highway and between Midland and Barrie I saw a couple of tukeys off the road picking away. One was a fair size looked like a good size jake another was a pretty looking hen. But it is always hard to see at 100Km.
I have heard from a few people the birds have been as far north as Parry Sound. But I heard this weekend they have been seen up in the Sudbury area.
Whats the farthest north anyone has seen them?

I have property in the Alban area (just north of the French) and IIRC they had a release program there a few years back but the birds didn't do to well. I haven't seen any (I'm always looking for game) and I've been meaning to ask some of the local hunters if they've seen any in the area.

I dont no but there are plenty around my house thats for sure.

Im a little pissed of that i dont have my hunting licence nor a turky tag:mad:

I've seen them between Sprucedale and Burkes Falls. I have property in Byng Inlet south of the French but have yet to see any there, although I've been told there are some in Noelville area.

Noelville was a release site, my uncles camp is on the spot where they were originally released but they did not do well up there with the amount of snow and the length of the winters. That may change in the future, but there are still a few floating around in that area.

I was in the Britt Legion having a couple of wobbly pops and their were a few hunters that thought they were taking off in Noelville. It wasn't a terribly bad winter up in those parts the last couple of winters anyway.

I saw 8 turkeys on the side of hwy 17 between Bruce Mines and Debrats, while on my way to St. Josephs Island. I will be hunting turkey on St. Josephs Island in a few weeks.:shotgun:
