As much as I like SFRC and doing business with them has always been good.
I hope those 8 units sit there forever ... especially @ $1999.

They must not be too confident in future sales if they only reserved 8 units for pre sale .
At least SFRC nor us gunnies will have any $ tied up as you only pay once delivery is going to start.

After this whole s#!t show I don't blame them for only reserving enough to test the water

I don't blame them 1 bit.
The whole sh***ty thing is , if they were priced fairly I would jump on one from SFRC.
Like I said I have had nothing but great dealings with them.

I'm not dissing them AT ALL it's M+M that has left a bad taste in my mouth for this rifle
Period.....

None of this would have happened if Wanstalls didn't post a price before msrp was set in canada. M+M even made a deal with North Sylva to supply Wanstalls with the rifles for their mistake And they still backed out and gave refunds.

$2000 was fine with people back when CanAm submitted the sample the the RCMP, oh how things change when someone posts the wrong price

Not 100% accurate . Can Am questioned M+M about the $2000+ msrp a couple years back when they submitted it to the RCMP.
Unfortunately there is/was and will be things we don't or won't fully know.
All I can do is speak for myself.
I will not be buying this rifle @ $1999 from anyone !

Many dealer have already this Gun on presale ( do a google search) , only the first one backed off to don't honor the price and this one choose to don't carry this gun for a certain time

Actually not true, a press release from MM States they had agreed to a deal with Wanstalls. Then three weeks later it's go through NS.

Wanstalls and Canam played by the manufacturer. Play silly games, warehouse overpriced rifles.

CanAm is listed as the importer on the FRT and submitted the sample for approval, yet two different retailers claim to have worked with the rcmp for the approval still...............LOL

After being on the pre order and talking to the parties involved, it is clear to me who caused all this, then NS came in when the others were fighting and were happy to sell at $1999

This is just another case of Canadian retailers trying to cut each others throat that went sour (same thing caused the swiss arms demise) In the end it only hurts us the consumer. Sad!

Yes, we got it non-restricted status.

Yes, we had an exclusive distributor agreement with M+M.

NO, we will NOT charge Canadian consumers double the US MSRP for 2" of barrel. We are committed to everyday low pricing. A longer barrel does not cost more money.

You'll have to get it from other retailers. We already charge our customers sales tax, we think that's enough tax.

We were then led to believe that Canada Ammo had at one time expressed interest in the gun but had since washed their hands of it. We were asked to assist M+M in several ways to help get their gun a non restricted FRT. In return for our assistance we were promised distributor level pricing. We fulfilled our end of the deal...

At the time of the pre-sale, Mike stated there would be no distribution channels, but rather distribution level pricing to be offered to individual Canadian dealers. No exclusivity would be offered and that Canada Ammo, Wanstalls, and for that matter, any Canadian gun store could bring the gun to the Canadian market at the lowest possible price.

Currently we know nothing other than what M+M posts on their Facebook page. In light of this, we will be getting in touch those who have deposits on the pre-order to discuss their options.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience for us as we are accustomed to conducting business in a straight forward and ethical way. You, our customers have our most sincere apologies for our poor choice in partnership with M+M.

Sincerely,

The Wanstalls team

exactly what I said, M+M's press release after wanstalls cancelled the preorder was that they had arranged for NS to supply Wanstalls with the rifles as they now were the sole distributor and the low price was still secure. There has been no statement to the contrary, so we can only come to the conclusion that this is true
