Providing youre not doing anything retarded like robberies and such, and its not classified as prohib replica- What are the legal ins and outs????

I ask because Im considering open/ holster carry in political protest to our Nazi gun laws and lack of self defense recognition by our so called courts...

Any info would be helpful...

Thank you. Colt

I know I'm not answering your question, but in my opinion you might better represent us at a protest or rally by leaving the toys at home. I think you'll gain more respect from those that matter (or don't matter);) without using scare tactics, and that is how it will be seen in the eyes of the anti.

A strong argument using facts will go a lot further. Again, this is just my opinion.

Good luck.

on a side note, you might want to move this to the appropriate forum

I really don't think it is a good idea, you may end up get shot because of the rcmp think you have a real gun. There are so many way( may be, may be not) to protest our right but just don't over cooked.

do yourself a favor and leave the blank gun at home, go spend $40 on a clear airsoft pistol if you want, or go buy the blue glock trainer, think of the hassel that you would have to go thu to tell them its not a real firearm, i dont know which blankgun you have but, i seen one that you wouldnt know the dif

canada ammo sells blank guns! but i wouldnt carry one on the open. just seems like asking for problems but if you know what youre getting yourself into and brave enough to do it more power to you!

Wouldn't recommend it. Risk having a police officer shoot you as they don't know you or your intentions.

In addition as already stated, you run the risk of a mischief, or other charge.

I can think of another they can stretch, as someone might think your an undercover officer, so you can get charged with that too;

Personating peace officer

130. (1) Everyone commits an offence who

(a) falsely represents himself to be a peace officer or a public officer; or

(b) not being a peace officer or public officer, uses a badge or article of uniform or equipment in a manner that is likely to cause persons to believe that he is a peace officer or a public officer, as the case may be.

What kind of a cop would draw down on you for having it in a holster? Onlyin canada.

if your in the city.. yep out in the bush.. remote areas... ect.. they might just talk to you thats about it.. Ive seen people with restrictes and prohibs in the bush no sence getting shot over someone breaking a law by shooting in the bush is what I say.. Ive seen full auto in the bush but they were drunk and I just went the other way..
