What's the most efficient way of storing your Ammo?

I keep most of my ammo in an old Canadian Tire gun cabinet, sheet metal with locking door. My guns go in the big safe, along with a moderate supply of ammo in there as well. Yes, I like to keep plenty of ammo, so the Canadian Tire cabinet is about half full most of the time.

I store it in the original wooden crates that it came in, and on pallets. Concrete room, steel vault door, and in a locked/fenced area with electronic security. Anything less than a full crate is stored in locking steel cabinets.

Most of mine is in my gun safe with my guns, I have a seperate small safe that will be home for more ammo if my large gun safe runs out of room.

I keep all my ammo here

Well, I'm going to assume you mean space efficiency. For most cartridges I have found some minor space savings to be had by staggering the cartridges and flipping every other one over, as even for something like .223 the case is not perfectly parallel. Time consuming, but I fit something like an extra 200 into a formerly full ammo can when I dumped everything out and flipped every other case in each row.

I mostly leave it outside beside my front door, some i keep in the playground across the street, but up high so nobody knows its there, then again, there seems to be alot of it just laying around on the floor, damn, the wife needs to clean this place up!!

My ammo is pretty much stored wherever I want; At the moment, there's two bricks of 22 on my desk, a ziplock full of 223 on the floor beside the desk and a flat of birdshot under the bed...

I'm not going above and beyond what the law requires; last I checked, I'm in the clear...
