what's the most useless gun ever

The SKS isn't a great hutning rifle, but as a battle rife of it's era, it was a prettty good firearm.

As for useless? I'd say the 710 is a great candidate.

I personally have distaste for many firearms, that get some gunnutz all hot and bothered, but make me want to puke, but I coudn't say they are without any use.

Not really a hunting and sporting gun but I hate handguns. Wouldnt bother me one bit if they were wiped off the face of the earth and replaced with bolt actions.

That is a lame comment. Have you ever owned or fired a handgun?

See, the post was to choose the most "useless" gun ever. I see a lot of handguns being "used" by our police and military, and by civy's to some extent. This thread was/is about use, not preference.

All in all, handguns are among the most widely "used" arms on the planet.

And as for "hating" an inanimate object, well I fear that no one short of a psychologist can help you with that one.

Canadiangunnutz might not be the best place to make statements like that, just a thought.

Remington's 7400 jams more often than the 710. ;) A rifle that fires everytime can always be usefull, so the reliability of the SKS takes it out of this category in my opinion

While I have absolutely no love for the SKS, I would hardly label it as useless.

I would never own one, but each to their own.

yeah... I hear that a lot, and yet every one I've seen at the range has been a jammomatic POS. Most recently I had to hammer the bolt open on my buddy's Norc SKS three times in less than an hour, using Norc ammo. Finally I just tossed him the hammer, told him to keep it--in return he had to stop bragging about how cheap his gun collection is...

For my money the most useless firearm would be a .50 BMG with iron sights, and no scope. :dancingbanana:

Also, I have absolutely no love for the "Ole' Brit", to me it's the ballistic equivalent of a punted football. Kind of a "Jack of all trades, master of none" caliber.:runaway:

However, I do still own one.:dancingbanana:

My 300 weatherby mkV ( not saying anyone elses)

To pretty and delicate wood stock to hunt with.
Barrel to thin to shoot more than three rounds at the range
Not all that accurate for the money ( my savage puts it to shame)
Too much power for my needs
All it does is take up space in the safe

So I guess you'd like to donate it to me :D
I have no issues taking "pretty" guns into the field.
The only scratches my field guns have gotten were from moments of pure idiocy on my part, from a belt buckle or a zipper...

Those who claim to dislike handguns have never been in a situation where they needed one. Consider the benefit a .22 belt gun would be to a trapper, or a a big bore revolver to those who works in bear country like prospectors, surveyors or tree planters. Consider also that once the handguns are gone, the hoplophobes will start to take a serious look at your bolt guns. The hopolophobes know they must take a small steps in order to prevail, and unless all those in the firearms community consider any ban unacceptable they will win.
