A significant portion of firearm owners will not buy a $3,000 rifle let alone a $2,000 rifle. Another portion won't buy a polymer rifle for $3,000. I wanted to factor them into my research.

Due to the rarity of the platform, the costs will rise, not decrease. It's also darn-near impossible to import one by yourself out of the US, due to the stamping of the receiver.Consider that the guns were $2700 to $3000 new, restricted. Then consider that it will cost probably a minimum of $600 to get the barrel changed. Now consider that there are no new ones coming into Canada. Are you going to let yours go for under 3K? Didn't think so.

But why were they that price?? Just Becuase?
It is a $1500 rifle.
many, many times. Pricing on guns is not merely a factor of $$ conversion. Factors such as export permits and availability go a long way towards a higher Canadian retail price. Yes, it sucks, but it's the way it is.The poll asks what I would pay for a FS2000 and my answer is < $2000. Do I think they're going to make it to the Canadian market at under 2k? Nope! Not going to happen.
