Whats the smallest revolver available?

The Ruger GP-100 (Cali... model) or the S&W Model 686 107mm bbl in weight total size all that kinda stuff i'm leaning toward the Ruger GP-100 what do you guys think?

Is that one of there folding models that are easy to carry in a pocket def... cool but still would like to know which of the to DA guns are smaller/more compact?

We have stainless Charter Arms Bulldog revolvers coming soon in 357 mag and 44 spl. They have 5" barrels. They are very light, small frame revolvers.

We expect to have these ready to sell in a couple weeks pending a new FRT.

I have a GP-100 4.2" and love it. I also looked at the 686 but chose the GP-100 because it seemed more rugged and also about $250 less expensive. It is built like a tank !
 
Hey Kodiak how much will a 3- or 357 sell for? Thanks for trying to bring in more revolvers the market out there is just a wasteland without too much options.

The Charter revolvers will be under $500. We will post the price when they are available for purchase early in the new year.

Yes, we will have the stainless pathfinders in 22LR and 22Mag as well as the bulldog in 357 mag and 44 spl.

I've read good stuff...the "bad" is mostly from people who need the own bigger name, more pricey guns to feel good about themselves and get pissed when someone out shoots them with a "cheaper" gun. They may not be as pretty as a Smith or a Colt but looks don't make the gun.
 
A number of years ago I had a .22LR S&W kit gun in SS and it was alright. Just lately I picked up a Ruger SP 101 in 22LR. The opportunity presented itself and the price was 'decent'. I haven't used it much yet but so far, it seems to be pretty good.

The 5 inch J frame is very neat - 5 shot cylinder "Chiefs Special" frame with a 5 inch barrel. I wouldn't want to shoot .357 in it though, the most painful gun I've ever shot was a 2 inch J frame .357 -many times worse than a 50AE Desert Eagle. I have fired a 44 Charter Arms "Bulldog Pug" - very nice revolver, and I'd hate to be downstream of it.
 
I keep reading of them shooting loose, and nobody believing that they are meant for a steady diet of full power loads!

Sorry but if I'm buying a .357 you better believe I am going to shoot some .357!

I should have just kept the Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag! Lots of overpower loads and no issues at all!
 
None of the small revolvers are built for a steady diet of full power 357 loads. You are missing the point. These are designed to be carried every day and shot when required. If you are going to the range to hear the loud.357 "boom" and feel the kick, buy a Ruger Redhawk. or Blackhawk. - dan
