There was talk a while back of crates of non-corrosive 7.62x39 hitting our
fair shores.

What's the current status of this? In the works? A total fairy tale?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I heard that it was going to be available something in late summer/early fall. This was a few months ago though and I haven't heard anything since.

Ok, thanks Jeremy.

I know there is a lot of demand for this. I hope someone can
get it to Canadian shooters.

I've just been using Wolf ammo so far. Of course it's not the bulk ammo though  The guy I heard my info from just said that he had 'sources'... So unfortunately I have no way of updating this info that I was given.

well Canada Ammo is a contributing dealer, and also I mod *(IIRC)* so he could clear up this issue quite nicely since he is likely informed of such matters

Whole lot of deleting going on. What did I miss?

Chris from CanAm is very in tune with the surplus ammo situation. Maybe he can check in here.

"...hate the UN..." The UN has nothing to do with it. Our laws concerning the importation of anything firearm related, especially ammo, have not and likely will not change.

Guns are high value, relatively low weight, so it makes sense to send by air.
Can you imagine how expensive a crate of ammo would be if sent by air?
Has the U.S. ACTUALLY siezed any ammo? When I talked to the guy at Lever Arms, the story I got was that they cannot bring in by ship, as ships are often diverted from Vancouver to Seattle, and would then be subject to confiscation. Also, if a ship carries any Norinco products on this trip, it will be given a hardcore inspection the next time it goes to a US port. Just another way to jerk around the shipper.

While I will, of course, believe what johnone or Peter say, until that time, I really doubt that the containers of guns that come to Marstar travel by air.
I'm not saying that Marstar has never flown guns in, I'm just saying I don't think the big shipments (like the last order with the M305s and NP29s) do.
