Whats the tread size?

I bought a scope rail to put on my ruger mark II.I have an aimpoint sight
that i thought would be great on this gun.
Digging thru my taps I had nothing that matched the pitch.
Is it a special size on these screws?
At first I thought it was a 6-40 nf but it didnt match.
Any suggestions on size of these screws and if its a special thread where to buy taps?

6 x 48 is a standard size on a lot of firearms.

Any gunsmith has that size on hand.... a number 31 drill is needed too.
