Whats the Value of a good mauser

$100-$1000

Your description is far to vague to give any closer an estimate.
Pics, as always, would be a bonus.
If you don't know how to post them, I've pm'ed you, just drop me a line and I'll set it up for ya.

Actually, without more information, I'd broaden my friend Skippy's range to $100 - $2100 (Cdn).

A righteous "all correct" late 30's K98k or "banner mauser" could easily go that high.

Would a Banner Mauser be simular to Banner Luger? Eagle with a B etc. Police SS?

Yes, It is the Mauser Logo on top of the receiver of the K98 as well as on some Mauser Banner P08 Luger's. Walther also has their own Banner on P38's. Like a Company Trademark Symbol - ie: Coca-Cola, McDonalds, WINCHESTER , etc.
For Mauser K98's, it was the logo (1933-Standard Modell; 1934-K98) before they went to 3 digit codes such as byf 44... (byf=Mauser; 44=1944).

As Coyote Ugly said, it's the Mauser Banner on top of the receiver.

"Banner" Mausers (forerunner of K98k) are rare and in good condition, very valuable collector's pieces. If you're looking at buying this type of item, here's a link in the Milsurp Knowledge Library - German Sectionhttp://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15, to 168 picture virtual tour of a "righteous" example that's perfect and all correct.

Make sure you check the "BUGN" markings carefully...

Hope this helps..... :)
