What's the word on Remington 700s these days?

My old 760 in .270 still works like a charm. I think the throat's getting a bit long for factory ammo though. Hell, it's been putting food on the table since what, the 50's?

My dad bought it from a violin maker than inlayed the stock. Dad used it on deer and moose until he retired it to me. He bought a new rem 700 in 30-06 about 20 years ago and I killed deer and moose with it until I just upgraded to a Savage 116 in 7mm.

No problems with older remingtons here. I have no experience with the newer ones though.
