What's this bayonet for?

I'm hoping this is an easy one. What does this bayonet belong to? I found it in some box of crap while cleaning stuff up, but I can't recall where I ever got it from. I have my suspicions that it's a German item according to the second pic.

Any value to this thing? Looks a little rough if you ask me. Looks as if someone may have painted it black and then scratched it off. Missing one of the screws/nuts for the grips and it appears as if the this metal piece that is sandwiched between the grips, is broken.

It looks to be a German K98 rifle bayonet from WW2. Nice to find!

Value is greatly diminished because it was unprofessionally sharpened.

It's definitely been sharpened a lot.

Bayonet like was meant for Ivan or some other allied solder but since it was sharpened I think it's meant for kitchen/table duty.Collectable?No,but still looks cool on the end in K98.

I purchased Argie Mauser bayonet in similar shape to yours not long ago because of exactly that-it looked at home on the end of Turkish 1903 Mauser and price was right.
