Hello. I am THINKING of selling this rig to fund another project. This gun is a tack driver at 110 yards no problem.Even when i ain't shooting it right it is still 0.5 MOA.I use it at 1100 yards on 8 inch balloons and its as good as it gets. This gun can shoot. I started to customize it by adding the stock and trigger in hopes of tuning the action later on when the time comes. I am not doing anything to it until it no longer produces these results which is probably another 5000 rds away. It has about 1500 rds down the pipe. Here is the price of the stuff new as follows.

Remington 700 5R MILSPEC bought new at $1229.99
Leupold Mark 4-4.5x14x50 TMR reticle at $1499.99
Leupold Mark 4 base at $169.99
Leupold Large Rings at $89.99
Custom stuff
HS Precision PST-025 adjustable cheek/LOP stock-$775
Jewell Benchrest Trigger-$300

Before taxes this has costed $4065.I know taxes should not be included but just to throw it out there it is $4553.

All are in mint mint condition. The Scope is flawless and the it has been well looked after. Here are the results of this rig. It is a shooter no doubt. Just throwing the idea out there. I am not interested in selling it "fast" more of an accurate price range from people that are interested and people that know the price of things. Can't argue the price of an accurate rig.Cheers. Enjoy the Pics.

Factor in that you put 1500 rounds down the barrel and your setup is quite available brand new to someone who would want this exact setup from many many retailers.

thanks for the input so far. I figured the same being that you can buy this stuff anywhere. I've seen some 5r's pull just average results though. Anyway to answer the velocity question it is about 2539 on average. It still makes it out to 1100 yards. The only other gun that i have been really impressed with is my friends Sako trg-22 so that is my consideration but will end up just keeping this one til i finance that one. Anybody wanna buy a 2008 Z1000 just as fast as a speeding bullet only you are in control the whole time... again thanks for the replies.

I bought a Z1000J (British model - likely KZ here) in 1982. I kept that bike until around 96/97. I have a lot of memories around that bike. :)

cheers!

Your optic hasn't depreciated much your rifle has. 1500 is a bit and a new barrel is not that far down the road. Parting it out may very well be your best bet

The key thing to remember when doing these kinds of builds is that resale value sucks. I am going to get possibly slammed for this but it is fact.
When you factor in the cost like you did to put that together I could have a TOTALLY built custom with all aftermarket components for the amount of money you put into it. It is tough to sell it complete unless someone has a wad of cash burning a hole in there pocket. You will more than likely be best to part it out, and yes hang on to your glass. Why sell it? Don't fall into the optics traps. Remember, Leupold warranty is one of the best out there.

Keep the glass and stock, along with the Jewell trigger. They can be re-used later or for a custom build. Swap the original OEM stock and trigger group back in and you might get $700 for it with that round count. If you don't want to retain parts, you'll get a lot more back if you part it out, piece by piece. You can forget selling it as a complete package for anything more than 50% of what it cost you using retail prices, unless you are really, really lucky.

yeah, i figured most of what people are saying is similiar to what i have been thinking. What you pay for is not what it is worth. I am going to hang on to it and just finish the custom work off down the line. New barrel, blue printing and a mag kit will make it the gun it can be.Thanks for the input. No need to reply anymore.
