I suppose there are some other cheap guns I could get rid of instead of this.

Makes sense to hang onto the good stuff even if I don't shoot it. I have a stockpile of Norc's that'll have to go though.
 
If you can, DON'T sell it ! You have a beautiful rifle which is very hard to find in that condition, I have been looking for years now and have seen beat up junk sell for a $1000.00, I presume largly due to the fact that they are hard to come by. Easy $1000.00 as long as you are not in a hurry !
 
Word to the wise, before you fire it strip the bolt. If it has the one-piece firing pin do not fire. Swap it out for the two-piece firing pin.

I was standing next to a nice rifle that had an out of battery ignition and which self-destructed into two big pieces and several small ones.

You can buy the scope mount on Ebay. There is a guy in France that has been selling them from time to time.
I got one last year, but have had no luck trying to find an OIP scope to go with it.
I know I can find one in Belgium. Anyone got any contacts over there?
