Have you got a calibre on it? My first thought when I saw it was that it was either a P-38 prototype or a Charola-Anitua pistol, but the C-A is more Mauserish, with the mag well in front of the trigger-guard.

No what you see is all I have, the marks are where the info has been scrubbed, it is however historically significant for the company that made it.

It seems sort of "Webleyish" in the hammer and trigger, but I think you'll need some more info to pin it down.

Seconded, it does look to me like a weird cross between a P.38 and a W&S Mk.1N

It looks like a prototype for the P38.

It has all of the standard charateristics but it is not quite there.

A early (early 1900 semi auto) 22LR of some sort. Perhaps a early model of a Ruger or Colt 22LR ??

Definately has some resemblance to the Armee Pistole, right down to the milled out markings.

From what I can find, it seems that Jurek was a Pole who escaped to the UK, and who had his designs built by Webley, so that may explain the "Webleyish" look to it; the book "Worldwide Webley" apparently has a picture, according to this: http://www.nfa.ca/miscellaneous/worldwide-webley-book-review.html

Not the same Webley that is talked about but its similar (a earlier model)

Got it from the Military Surplus Rifle Bible "A Basic Manual of Military Small Arms" that was printed in 1943 in the US.
