@ Grumpy, What the guys mean by "necrothread" is that you are resurrecting conversations that went cold years ago. Your advise seems solid enough, just years too late. If you are doing it intentionally, fill your boots, but the mods seem to take exception for some reason.

I'm kinda giggling to myself when I see a "locked" icon on a thread and notice it was started in 2011, 2009, "I wonder if Grumpy has been at work?"... and invariably, you have.

Check the dates on what you're responding (upper LH corner) to in order to ascertain whether it's an on going conversation.

not sure why this is a big deal and why it would need to get locked. The archives are full of good info. I spend a chunk of time on here reading old threads. sometimes interesting to see the progression of issues over the years.
