I liked the .204 with 39 gr. Blitzkings. Could kill a coyote waay out there and you can stay in your scope and see the imapact.
22-250 is a great round, as is the .222, .223, 220 Swift

Dedicated coyote gun is in 243. I use a 22hornet or223 when calling. We get plenty of long shots so 243 out shines most.

I`m using a 204 now but have used 22-250, 243 and my favorite 264 win mag. Last one is definitly hard on hides, the other two can be hard on fur depends on bullet and bullet placement. One fellow i know switches between his 22-250 and 270. Pretty much anything will work depends on range and ability to hit the critter. You pays your money and takes your chances, 22lr on up. Another reason to own more than one rifle.

Honestly my wolf/yote gun is 243.
But I also use 22 hornet and I recently picked up a 223.

I also recently grabbed a hundred rounds of Hornady 12G varmint express #4 Buckshot. I'd love to whack a yote with this stuff if I could call it in close enough.

I like my 204 the best, 40 gr. v-max and 45 gr. sp bullets. Really flat shooting, and an ease to carry.
But also have used 22-250, 22 hornet, 243, and many with the 25-06 while deer hunting.

I use a .204 ruger 700 cdl for my dedicated coyote gun. Nice and flat, good to 300yrds, rapid expansion, great bc. I fire hornadys 32gr vmax. Works perfect for me.

Any of the above work find a good deal on a nice rifle and put the pill where it belongs it will do the job
