What's with all the 10-22's for sale in EE

a lot of us have more than 1, and are looking to fund other projects= aside from maybe competition, and a folder, and a crinker plinker- i can't see having more than 3-5 with backups

Sh*te

There are sure alot 10-22's for sale in EE.

At last count there where 10 on the first page.

Is there something going on here!

The majority of them aren't much without a whole lot of aftermarket parts, if tinkering is your thing, that's cool, but there are a few semi's that are very nice right out of the box.

While I'll agree with the above, the amount of options available to the 10/22 owner makes this, by far, the best semi 22 in my book....;)

There are pictures online of test done by dropping the receivers onto the ground. The metal trigger guards shattered and the plastic ones didn't break. :D

I won't be the first to mention "aluminum" and "polymer".......:ninja:

They're being traded in on Remington 597's! :D

Right.............:p

I have owned 3 at a time before..... I currently have 2.

I would consider another one if it has the steel triggerguard and is priced under $200....... But we all know that isn't going to happen!

Cheers!

Anything can happen  - I've seen some crazy discounted 10/22's over time (like one sellling for $200 shipped with a full cadre of hi-cap magazines............shoulda, coulda, didn't buy.....)......

I'm not holding my Breath....... if ya know what I mean.....

I have a '71 vintage 10/22 and a '08 vintage 10/22 (currently) IMHO the '71 vintage model is just made better..... I could be wrong...... But I ain't! :D

I saw the same vid where the trigger guard was tested.....

All I have to say is, I'll be a beliver when they show me a vid of the 10/22 after it shoots 5000rnds Rapid fire and the "plastic" trigger group isn't a puddle!! :D

(we know it can't happen..... every single 10/22 out there would jam at least once in a while thusly allowing it to cool off and negating the test:()

Funny there are so many now as opposed to 3 years ago when i waited and waited and waited for one to show up. Luckily it was a pre modded international model with all VQ internals and for a very reasonable price. Then the other was a choate pistol grip tac wanna be model with a bubba'd trigger unit which i didnt know about. which was about $200 in trade value.
Works well now but to me not worth the money selling, plus its the wifes.

I used to think I needed a couple of 10/22's but now I only have one (thanks to the clutch on my car) but I just came to the realization I only need one type of rimfire in different types. Practical for me is 1 .22LR in almost every type of action bolt, semi, and lever. .17 for long range varmint hunting/excellent accuracy (me still thinks .22 wmr is a waste if you have HMR). And a Cooey because everybody needs a rifle that can be neglected and still outperform many other guns. So in conclusion I didnt need 2 10/22's because they do the same job all the same way they just looked different, but different actions help keep you interested by variation....

Just my 2 cents

i put a vintage 88 model in my shtf kit- that's how much i trust them-with a shorter barrel and the choate folding stock, it would be ideal- but that would probably make it a restricted/prohib-and i have a nylon 66 -the 10/22 is a back-up
