What's with SIR's Marlin 39AS?

SIR's picture for the Marlin 39AS is different from what Marlin have on their site, and what other sellers use. Is it just a mistake, or would the rifle purchased from SIR not have the checkered stock?
 
maybe like a lot of other sports stores, if the demand has not been there for that particular style ( checkered) of gun, then the store would not carry it in stock. There are so many types and styles, they cannot carry them all. Why stock a gun that is much more expensive and not have it sell. The "special " looks of a gun these days do not overpower reliability.....checkered stocks do not improve function nor accuracy....


Also in the SIR ad...it does not say checkered stock...as it does in the description of gun below it.
 
You might want to call and check - I know Wholesale has a big mistake in a listing for a Marlin on their site. They list a Cowboy Competition in 32 H&R mag, show it with a side loading gate (which they've never done for 32), and list it with a case color receiver. Had to call the Edmonton store to get them to physically check the gun - sure enough, it's blued with a tube loading mag.
 
Okay, I'll contact them when the time comes. They also carry the Henry Golden Boy I want so I'd prefer to get both from the same place.
