I haven't seen/heard her. Can you elaborate? I know some of the top brass at OFAH personally, and I am surprised they would directly endorse that kind of attitude.
 
It's a OFAH/CFC joint ad. She basically goes on about how proud she is to follow all gun laws like registration. I follow gun laws because I don't want ot go to jail, but I am ashamed that we have such laws in Canada.
 
OFAH is the group that probably ruined handgun hunting for everyone in Canada when they shot down an attempt by another group to get handgun hunting permitted in Ontario several years ago.
 
I'm glad you brought this up Gatehouse. I too saw the commercial last night. She made it sound like 500000 Ontario hunters were in favor of registering their guns. The ad was brought to us by OFAH and the Ontario CFO. I did a double take....

On a side note, that dude on Predator Quest can sure shoot!

I saw the ad. They probably really do believe that...Just another reason not to join OFAH...

The way he talks, its all luck, but how many guys can hit a running coyote at 300yds +, consistently...I'm sure he gets a lot more trigger time than he lets on...:D

sorry they are your friends but OFAH are idiots and havent a clue we had a good chance at hunting with handguns at one point but those dumb asses screwed that one up i cant imagin what gun owner let alone any outdoors type sportsman would ever support them. any body got contact info for this orig i think its time to send out some letters telling them what kind of fools they are i cant beleve people keep supporting them

I don't know anyone who is 100 percent right 100 percent of the time, but if you (or anyone) feels strongly about the issue with the Wild TV girl then I encourage you to contact OFAH and let them know directly. That's how you change policy.

Some of us don't have a choice (Club Membership) and I'll admit I'm surprised as the OFAH has been singing a different tune lately. Greg Farrant did a lot of work with respect to C-391.

I've contacted them, on a few occassions, as an RPAL holder to express my concerns about the registry, prohibition and confiscation. They communicated back to me like they get it.

I'd like to see the ad.

What piss's me off about OFAH in Simcoe county ONT. you cant legally hunt in the county forests withought a OFAH membership WTF ! Apparently it is becuase of the insurance that comes with the membership. So I pay tax's to help own and support the county forest but cant use it unless I buy a magasine subscription ? That brilliant for OFAH . Maybe Canadian tire should get the government to passs a law that makes every Ontarian who owns a car have to buy stocks in the company or you cant use your car. I hate politics.

I don't know your Simcoe regs, but in B.C., there is a Fraser valley special area where you need an extra licence and have to have liability insurance as well. The BCWF insurance is one way to be covered, but if you have personal liability insurance with enough liability coverage, it is acceptable also. I would expect the Simcoe county requirements are the same - Proof of liability insurance not just OFAH insurance. But I could be wrong.
