What's wrong with Norc synthetic stock?

I've always found the USGI stocks to be best for feel, weight distribution, and streamlining. The new Norinco plastic stocks have those sharp corners (easily worked down), but they are also chunky, especially the rear grip. If Norinco wanted to make something really, really cool, they should make a plastic version of the E2 stock. Now that would sell a lot more rifles IMHO.

i would buy one just for the e2. why in the &^( isnt some one making a knock off?

Easy fix ; I've got a roll of skateboard tape/ladder tape. I've put a long strip on both sides of the stock, makes it much easier to carry and grip while shooting.

Speaking of synthetic Norc M14 stocks, I saw 2 for sale in a SW Ontario gunshop the other day. Price.......$289 each. No metal, just the plastic and handguard. I questioned the sales clerk about the price and he confirmed that yes, $289 was the price. You had all better start snapping them up off the EE when they are $50 :).

I try to keep one of each, usgi synthetic, Norinco plastic, Boyd's wood, all of them have their own appeal, but I notice that the Norinco plastic flexes more than the others.

If you were to bed the Norc synthetic stock, where would be the areas you would focus on? Would you advise the ol' carbon arrow technique?
