Hello Need advice for a friend,he called the other day says his rifle scope cannot dial up another 13 inches required to hit zero at 100 yards, this is what he has a savage 111 308,bases are weaver no#61 at the rear & no#46 at the frount ,weaver grandslam steel rings (high ),with a tasco 6x24x42 .My guess is he has wrong bases (to low in frount base)or screwed up junk sitting in the rings(tasco).Any help would be thankfull, i can only help him from here for now he is 5 hour drive away .

that scope might be the problem...they most likely only have 28MOA total travel.......try lower rings, and or a better scope...he could try shimming the bases.....but thats a pain in the ass

As far as I know, it's either two # 46 Weaver bases, or a # 46 & a # 413,
depending on model.

Their chart is easy to misread ... under "notes" it says " 61 " right beside the 46.

#61 mounts are typically used on flat top receivers, like the Tikka.
