Just wondering, what's a good amount to have on hand in case supplies become tight etc.- what do you have as your SHTF supply etc. After many years of not shooting, I've recently taken up the sport again but I'm not interested in reloading. This is what I've amassed so far.

PMC 193- 500 rds
RUAG Swiss Ordnance- 1400 rds
Winchester White Box 55gr FMJ- 200 rds

SHTF
Blackhills
5.56 MK 262 77gr- 200 rds
.223 68 gr HP- 200 rds

5.56 64 gr tracer 100 rds
PMC K100 - 1000 on the way

Nice!

So far:

Winchester varmint hunting .223 20 rnds :D
Winchester white box 55gr FMJ 2.5k

Always looking for more at good prices but there never are any.

Reloading is the only way to ensure steady supply.

I hoarded tons of Hornady 55 grain, Sierra 69 grain / 77 grain projectiles.

As far as loaded ammo

160 Rounds of XM-193
800 Rounds of Win White Box 62 grain.

I can't remember the last time I bought that fancy city stuff.

I buy all the components. I don't do the Black & Green rifle stuff, but smack enough gophers throughout the summer months where reloading becomes a neccessity.

I always have an MTM ammo box of 50 good to go at any given time.

i have 1000rds of remington 55gr fmj and 1000rds of American Eagle 55gr FMJ

2000 rounds should suffice for SHTF.

...and then i have a few boxes that i use for regular plinking

Allan!

Don't really have the time for reloading, but if I did I would guarantee that I would have more that what's presently stocked at home, being:
500 rounds of .223 (Winchester 55gr. FMJ)
700 rounds of .22 (American Eagle and Remmington Viper)
1000 rounds of 7.62x39 (surplus)
400 rounds of 9mm (Fiocchi 147gr. FMJ)
40 rounds of 30-06 (Winchester 180gr. Accubond)
- not to mention anything about shotgun shells.

Kinda running out of room to store all this stuff. Heck, just thinking about it, I should go shooting!

I currently have 1 (one) 45gr HP..... I hope TSE doesn't sell all that K100 before I get back!
Good thing I have lots of .308, .22 and 10mm to fall back on.

About 1500 rounds of various soft point and hollow point in 55 grain and 69 grain weights. I keep about 2000 rounds of fmj in storage - usually M193 ball of some sort. I like to keep a few pounds of powder, a couple of thousand primers and as many bulk bullets as possible on hand to reload the brass.
