So in response to this thread I did an audit of my .223/5.56. lets just say I have a lot. I find this ammo can marked with an old and crumbling piece of medical tape. Written in pen is "Unprocessed commercial .223 brass" my writing. Inside is 51 boxes of Winchester 62 grain White Box, same lot...Score! Kinda like finding an unknown 20 dollar bill in the jeans...:D

That's funny, I just did the same yesterday and found an uncracked can of GP90 that I didn't remember I had!:D
 
Just thought I would revive this thread with a year end inventory.

I try to keep at least 10 boxes of factory on hand(I just have a bolt gun)plus a growing hoard of brass.I prefer not to re-load this caliber as the time it takes hardly seems worth the effort when factory is under 10.00 a box.I probably have at least 500 55 gr. component bullets and several thousand small rifle primers in case the factory supply runs out.7.62x39 will be the same with me when(?) a certain russian SKS arrives.
