Whats your average pistol ammo count for range visit

I always take 4-5 pistols. Always a 45 of some kind, a couple of 9’s and I always make a point of taking at least 1 prohib. I have bad arthritis in my hands so I load my mags at home the night before. I generally do 50rds per gun. I get to the range for 10am Saturday and am gone by 10:45. I generally have the entire indoor range to myself so I can be in and out quick and carry on with my day. That’s in between cowboy competitions which are every other week and also take a couple hundred rounds.

I typically bring one pistol to the range and work out the kinks. 250 to 500, to the deep end if it's 9mm, less if it's my precious .45 ACP.

It really varies. As little as 20 rounds if I spend more time helping friends and up to 400 if I’m doing a bunch of drills. I shoot both IPSC and IDPA. Pre-Covid, I’d shoot once a week, and go through 10-12k of 9mm a year.

Not only how many rounds you take .......but is there such thing as firing too many rounds through a pistol at one range trip ? I normally shoot anywhere between 150-200 rounds per trip. Always wondered if there was a consensus on an upper limit.

No limit! Don't forget those guns are designed to kill as many people as possible as fast as possible. Blackface and his lackies keep saying anyways...

Probably average about 400. When I start going more often I intend to streamline my drills and wont be so eager to rapid fire lol.

I'll usually do 100 rounds for each pistol and typically bring two or three pistols.

Same here, though I normally don't shoot through it all (except 22). If a box has left than 50 in it I'll through in a new box of 100. And 22 is just whatever's in the box of 425, and if it feels like less than 100 I put a new 425 box in the range bag.

I would normally pack my one ammo can with as much 9mm (350) and 22 (couple hundred) each time to the indoor range and would normally come home with a box or two of each. I normally went to the indoor range late at night and had it all to myself once a week, pre covid of course. With young kids it's hard to get away during the daylight hours.
