Whats Your build plan for the 125$ NEA lower?

No plans. I bought one to piss off a Liberal.

And I wanted to see the machining marks. Like rings in a tree I heard. :)

..and I never had a purple lower either, Will my LPK fit? Or do I have to get the Dremel out for that Fix too?

I want to put it in the EE for $295

Not sure... ultra cheap build from good deals I can snatch off the EE. The goal is to stay below $800.

Then sell it on the EE 6 months later for $1500 as a "custom competition rifle". ;)

You realize of course that the machining marks on those NEA lowers are like fingerprints and are kept on file right? It's a machine mark data base!! In fact I heard the UN was so impressed with the NEA ring marks marking scheme that they are revamping their ideas for country of origin markings.

Tin foil half price at Smart. Shot smart shop S Mart.

I knew it. F'n Obama and his Damn Machine Marking Conspiracy. You thought the wiretap laws were bad..wait until they get this one into the books...GAmE OVER MAN!!!
Where is Jesse Ventura? Get him on the phone.

I got one of the sale ones. I've never built an AR, my only black rifle is an XCR. I'm thinking a 10.5" barrel is about the right length, maybe a 12.5" if I find a good deal. Does anyone have suggestions for the lightest weight quad rail and stock around? I want something collapsible for the stock, and defniitely want a flat top with quad rail. I want to go light weight on this though, my XCR is plenty heavy if I want a heavy gun.

I bought two.

11.5" build

9" nea rail
Moe carbine stock
Midwest industries flip up irons
A2 FH
Hogue grip
Dpms bcg & lpk
Nea upper

Total cost: $1,020 to my door

Should look good next to the 14.5" and 18"

The second lower will likely become a 20" A2 style build w/ moe handguards

I bought one to see if my #### would fall off. :D No kidding.... I am serious! :nest: I had to see what all the fuss is about.... :D

Frankly with all the zombies on the horizon for 21 Dec 2012, one never knows. Now to buy a lower parts kit.... :)

Cheers,
Barney
