Whats your favorite .270 wsm load and what kind of velocity are you getting ??
Do you guys think a 140 gr is better suited for this cartridge or 130 when hunting whitetails in the pairies ??

Cheers!!

Well my go to hunting load is 140gr Accubond over 71gr of Retumbo. Shoots right at 1". I feel comfortable shooting deer, elk or moose with this load. Haven't chrono'd it, but should be around 3200fps. Have shot 4 good sized whitetails with it so far and it has been flawless. My accuracy load is 130gr Rem Cor-lokts over 67gr of H4831. Routinely shoots under 1" with the best groups going .25". Just don't like using this on game in case I have a close range shot, a little worried about the integrity of the bullet.

I've been using 130 TSXs, 67.0 grains of RL 19, WW Cases, and CCI 250 primers. I've chrony'd this at about 3220 fps and it shoots really good out of my T-3. I tried 140 Nosler Accubonds and chrony'd them at 3080 fps, but the Barnes bullet was a bit more accurate in my rifle. IMHO either weight would be good for deer. I also picked up a WSM for deer hunting on the prairies.... fairly mild recoil and flat shooting.

I think either bullet weight would be fine, i use 62gr of H4350 with a 130gr. partition at 3300fps with very good accuracy. I am thinking of trying the Barnes TSXBT in that weight on of these days they have great B.C. and exspasion, penetration are excellent.

I use the Nosler 140 Accubond loaded with WMR powder, WLRM primer, this gives me consistent cloverleafs in my Kimber. I haven't chrono'd the load but it is rated about 3100-3150 @24"bbl. The bullet should stang the speed but two initial results I have seen both showed very quick expansion on high velocity impacts with large entrance wounds, I suspect this bullet will do well for long range targets but will show exssesive damage at high/short impacts, maybe the Interbond is better if your gun likes it!
