Ruffed grouse. The season opens here tomorrow and I'll be hitting our bushlot around 10am.

Wow, that's a late opener. We opened on the 10th out here on the left coast.

Got three Ruffies two days after the open. Going again next week!

How late does your season go? We can chase them right up to mid January. Nothing like going for a grouse hunt on Christmas day. :lol:

Thanks,I'm sure your opener was good aswell.Birds or no birds its great being out there with your dogs. I think last year I took a total of 11 grouse on the wing (and probably shot at 60 or more).Its my favorite hunt and I think its quite challenging aswell.
