I am ashamed to admit I have used anything lying around, Mobil, WD40, 3-in-1. Even the gun oil from the bottle I got with an SKS. It never seems to matter. I did order some CLP, there is yet hope.
Methanol is an efficient social lubricant, as long as you don't tell anybody what it is.
