Nice, but is that a good idea to allow it to be so close to crates of ammo? After all it may load it's self and go on a rampage.

M1 Garand, M1 Carbine and Lee-Enfield are just awesome.

If I could own a semi-auto Thompson M1A1 I would sell all my guns to get one if I had to. By far the ###ist gun ever built.

Yeah, I find that my most accurate ex-mil rifles tend to be my Swedish ones, but I have a .30-06 M1917 and a .303 P14 that can keep right up with the Swedes. Some days I shoot better with the Swedes and other days the previously mentioned Enfield's. And of course the Swiss K31's are up there too but I find I shoot better and tighter groups with the aperture sights on the M1917 and P14 than the K31's tangent rear sight.

My sweet shooting Swedish M1896 is a FSR rifle with excellent target aperture sight fitted too.

Tough call but from a historical point of view the SVT40. It was the most complete design of first generation semi auto battle rifles. Came designed for light weight, muzzle break to reduce recoil, tuneable gas pressure and 10 round detachable magazine. Had its weaknesses but so did all first generation semi auto's. Stock was a bit light and would sometimes break and it was quite complex especially when compared with the Mosin. The Germans and Fins loved them and used them extensively. Much better training so the complexity wasn't an issue. Lots of fun to shoot. Their biggest issue was the stocks did not fit very well and you need to shim the barrel but once this was done they had good but not great accuracy. Acceptable for general combat but not as a sniper.
