What's your favourite .22 ammo?

Lol!

Lol!

a note on lr ammo; our semi's are the most "function finicky" (typical), our bolts tend to be the most accurate (with preferred ammo), our levers get fed any "left-overs" that won't shoot in the semi's and isn't accurate in the bolts... Basically the levers eat at a cheap chinese buffet... Long rifle bok choy for breakfast, lunch and supper...

Winchester Wildcat .22s - Best balance of price and performance, and my 10/22 loves them. And at 1.79 for 50....

CCI velocitors are another I'll buy regularly, maybe even some stingers.

Back when I was starting to get into rimfires most which are now CZ's I read on rimfire central that most CZ rifles seem to shoot the federal american eagle 38gr HP ammo very well compared to all of the other budget rimfire products that were available. I tested out this theory with what I had for CZ rimfires and found it to be the case with my rifles as well.
Others that shoot well are the Win Powerpoint great shooting ammo but quite a bit more money than the american eagle product.
Another thing I do with the Fed. ammo is with a thing called a Paco Tool that enlarges the HP to a gaping hole. FS

Used to use blazers loved them super reliable and super accurate, then got tired of cleaning out all the lead fouling, so switched to winchester 555 hollow points. seems great so far. never had luck with federal bulk. lots of duds i found, and lots of jams in my 10-22.

My favorite 22lr is the cheapest brand by the case of 5000 or more. I shoot a Browning lever, so all ammo fires and never a jam. Last year the kids, girlfriend, ect went through almost 12,000 rounds behind the barn and shooting gophers. It makes no difference to me what brand I shoot, just the price.
