My CZ452 goes well with Lapua Super Club. More expensive than bulk stuff but groups are noticeably tighter (think dime-size 5-shot groups at 50).

Remember - when changing brands of ammo in a .22 it takes between 10 to 100 rds or more to condition the barrel to the new ammo. You wont get true results until conditioned to the new ammo.
Also - I made the mistake of cleaning the bore of a .22 once (as an experiment). A Martini I.S.U. rifle thay shot one hole 50 yd. groups opened to half inch. It took 300 rds to get back to one hole.
.22 bores dont need to be cleaned. My Anschutz's have never been cleaned in 20 yrs and the bores are perfect. Chambers need to be cleaned though - a lead ring at the end of the chamber affects accuracy.

CCI Standard Velocity have given me very good results in all the .22 rifles I have owned so far. It is a sub-sonic round, which is a good thing if accuracy is your primary concern.
I also had good results with cheap American Eagle Solid 40 grain (1240fps). If you intend to hunt, those might be a better choice as the higher velocity gives you a bit more range than the standard velocity.
I suggest you do you own tests and draw your own conclusions. It's the only way you will get confident with your gun and ammo. It's okay to take some advise, but there is nothing like your own experience.

More importantly is what the guns like.You will be able to judge this by how the ammo performs in your guns in terms of accuracy and reliability.
Pretty much. My Kimber was about to lose a spot in the gun safe due to my frustration with it's accuracy, fliers mediocre groups etc. I took about 6 different brands and just shot them for groups. Turned out my frustration was because it doesn't shoot lubed bullets such as Lapua or Elley worth a damn, but loves the Federal Gold. Go figure. I was so sure it had to shoot Lapua or Elley. The Kimber managed to save itself and I learned an interesting lesson.
my gun shoots the thunderbolts well (however the unplate bullets lead up your barrel more) it feeds and shoots federals fine with slightly less acurracy and it HATES winchester dynapoint im gonna pick up a brick of standard eley this wekeend and try them out
My 10/22 likes Remington Target,and jams when using Winchester Wildcats.My Kimber Rimfire Super pistol functions okay,and is reasonably accurate with American Eagle high velocity,but jams repeatedly with Winchester Wildcats.

and then goes everything else. Among fast and more potent rounds I find Velocitors are the only ones that provide acceptable accuracy, but then again you should try it in your rifle.
